And so many "animal lovers" hate cats too because apparently its allowed. How can you love one animal so much and detest another. Beats me. Especially when cats are so incomparably and astonishingly clever and magical and adorable. How can you not like them! When I saw him sitting outside and I panicked and rebuked him for being so adventourous but my mom hugged and asked, are you alright my baby.
Oh I miss that little soul even today, he was so caring, so giving, qualities so rare in humans todaysidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04013444616117197550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382033.post-32422278253783460782013-05-10T10:36:42.770+05:302013-05-10T10:36:42.770+05:30oh god! Just 'cos he's alive and well.
Just last month, my husband and I witnessed a pack of 7 dogs tear a poor stray cat to pieces in the middle of the night. Still gives me nightmares. Considering B'lore is a very very dog-centered society, cats are not well regarded. God alone knows why because I've had dogs and now have cats and while dogs might be loyal blah blah blah cats are way easier to look after.
Our black and white fur ball, Oreo, was missing when we returned from our 3 day trip to Goa. He seemed to have been climbing across balconies and might've slipped due to the rain. He fell 5 floors down and fortunately hid himself well until we called his name.
I was so relieved when we found him. All the watchman did was give us a torch and then cower away like we were housing some jungle cat.
I'm glad you were around people who wanted to help. evelinehttp://www.evuhleen.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382033.post-3804619266235052182013-05-07T16:02:52.213+05:302013-05-07T16:02:52.213+05:30That was written so well, like a short story or an...That was written so well, like a short story or an essay.

Poor TC, I hope he's doing better now. We had lots of cats in my house growing up (I lived in a colony of row houses with backyards, so they were very happy outdoor cats. Although the sofa was a special place to plop and snooze for hours, especially in December). Anyway, one of our cats accidentally got himself trapped in the bathroom of an unoccupied row house and I remember a huge crowd of helpful neighbours, the watchman and some really well meaning vagrants came to the rescue. We had to break the glass of the ventilation from the outside, find one of those wooden planks they use for construction, slide it down to the poor trembling thing and encourage him gently till he climbed up, slipping often because it was a steep climb. I must have been 8 or 9 and was just happy we could take him home, but when I think back, I realize how lucky we were to get all that help. And that we found him in the first place.

Fire stations do help. My cousin called them in Pune once to rescue a crow on the terrace of a neighbouring building who was entangled in some wire (if I remember correctly) and they got the job done. I think you have to pay them though.

Keep posting!

http://cyniqueen.blogspot.de/Cyniqueenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09407963948441525826noreply@blogger.com
