Today in Photo

I finished the first draft of my ninth book yesterday. (Book 8 is written but I'm not ready to publish it yet so if this comes out first it will be book eight but we know it's really book nine, don't we?) A first draft means that I still have to fix a few things, it's not quite ready to be shown yet, but the fact that it exists outside my head is just..Wow. This feeling never gets old. Sharing here a photo of my last two weeks, I was doing too much faffing around and so to motivate myself I wrote down my word counts every day. (I wanted to knock it on the head swiftly so I could get down to making it better.)The reverse of this piece of paper is marathon sessions of 3000 or 4000 words a day but this is not bad either. When I was younger, I wrote a lot more without getting tired but that's the price of getting older and considering where your words fall, I guess. #authorlife #writingdemon
