My latest book is The One Who Swam With The Fishes.

"A mesmerizing account of the well-known story of Matsyagandha ... and her transformation from fisherman’s daughter to Satyavati, Santanu’s royal consort and the Mother/Progenitor of the Kuru clan." - Hindustan Times

"Themes of fate, morality and power overlay a subtle and essential feminism to make this lyrical book a must-read. If this is Madhavan’s first book in the Girls from the Mahabharata series, there is much to look forward to in the months to come." - Open Magazine

"A gleeful dollop of Blytonian magic ... Reddy Madhavan is also able to tackle some fairly sensitive subjects such as identity, the love of and karmic ties with parents, adoption, the first sexual encounter, loneliness, and my favourite, feminist rage." - Scroll

I hesitate to say "best fish thaali in Goa" because then all the "real" Goans will be like, "really? Have you tried such and such? No? Then your information is incomplete." but for the last two months we have tried fish thaalis at at least seven or eight different places and this one is the best we found. Catherine's Corner is a little shop selling snacks like prawn patties or beef rolls but also fish plates at lunchtime, and MAN, it is excellent. I normally just eat the curry and the fried fish but I devour everything on this plate. Clockwise: fish curry with a piece of fish recheado and rava fried, cauliflower, clams with fried onions, kokum with garlic cloves and dried prawn in a raw onion coconut mix, like a kachumber salad. This week is all about last meals at old favourites. #goanway #parra #fishthaali
