My latest book is The One Who Swam With The Fishes.

"A mesmerizing account of the well-known story of Matsyagandha ... and her transformation from fisherman’s daughter to Satyavati, Santanu’s royal consort and the Mother/Progenitor of the Kuru clan." - Hindustan Times

"Themes of fate, morality and power overlay a subtle and essential feminism to make this lyrical book a must-read. If this is Madhavan’s first book in the Girls from the Mahabharata series, there is much to look forward to in the months to come." - Open Magazine

"A gleeful dollop of Blytonian magic ... Reddy Madhavan is also able to tackle some fairly sensitive subjects such as identity, the love of and karmic ties with parents, adoption, the first sexual encounter, loneliness, and my favourite, feminist rage." - Scroll

Today in Photo

You must let me know if these updates get too much but I'm enjoying showing you all of it. I really did sit on this swing just for the 'gram. One week done of our quarantine, one week to go. Then we are released... To go for bike rides in the forest. Can't waittttt for Berlin next month but also desperately reminding myself that pandemic Berlin will be very different from 2017 Berlin. Germany's numbers are low though so there's that, I'll try to tread the line between paranoia and carefulness. Life as usual is going to be weird to see and I'm almost angry about it because we could've had a normal life too if the response hadn't been fucked up on every turn. Sigh. Not quite the caption you were expecting on this swing photo eh? #quarantinediary #minnaindeustchland
