My latest book is The One Who Swam With The Fishes.

"A mesmerizing account of the well-known story of Matsyagandha ... and her transformation from fisherman’s daughter to Satyavati, Santanu’s royal consort and the Mother/Progenitor of the Kuru clan." - Hindustan Times

"Themes of fate, morality and power overlay a subtle and essential feminism to make this lyrical book a must-read. If this is Madhavan’s first book in the Girls from the Mahabharata series, there is much to look forward to in the months to come." - Open Magazine

"A gleeful dollop of Blytonian magic ... Reddy Madhavan is also able to tackle some fairly sensitive subjects such as identity, the love of and karmic ties with parents, adoption, the first sexual encounter, loneliness, and my favourite, feminist rage." - Scroll

Day and night outfits yesterday like a busy bee. Wore this wrap dress I've had for a while for lunch with a friend at home. I had it made out of checked cotton fabric I bought at a sale but I didn't buy enough so it shrunk in the wash and got too slutty for Delhi (legs) (sorry man, I know empowerment etc but I haaaate being stared at on the road) I thought I'd take it to Berlin and put it on yesterday to test it out and don't tell my mum but ironing this made it look so much better. 🙄 The second dress is from FabIndia! Boring old FabIndia is now making cool clothes! I was delighted, especially since they had a clearance rack and bought three things. Wore to a birthday party last night, was lucky no one else was wearing the same thing which is the problem with FabIndia. Felt pretty though, also light and cool, and miraculously, no one, including self spilt anything on my clothes. (My shoes though is a different matter.) #whatiworetoday #tailormade #fabindia #delhidiary
