My latest book is The One Who Swam With The Fishes.

"A mesmerizing account of the well-known story of Matsyagandha ... and her transformation from fisherman’s daughter to Satyavati, Santanu’s royal consort and the Mother/Progenitor of the Kuru clan." - Hindustan Times

"Themes of fate, morality and power overlay a subtle and essential feminism to make this lyrical book a must-read. If this is Madhavan’s first book in the Girls from the Mahabharata series, there is much to look forward to in the months to come." - Open Magazine

"A gleeful dollop of Blytonian magic ... Reddy Madhavan is also able to tackle some fairly sensitive subjects such as identity, the love of and karmic ties with parents, adoption, the first sexual encounter, loneliness, and my favourite, feminist rage." - Scroll

I've discovered green tea as a mid morning pick me up. It's a bit of an acquired taste, I've got to say, but it's meant to kill smoking cravings so I'll try any port in the storm. My dad gave me a set of two cups and saucers which are so pretty that I want to drink all the tea! All the time!

  1. Give it your best shot girl! It's worth it. I quit in college and realistically it took a year for the cravings to subside. Luckily I had a BF at the time (hubby now) who was militant about not smoking and gave me an earful every time I thought of restarting. Anyway Gluck :)

  2. A YEAR? OH MY GOD.
sigh, but like your boyfriend, mine too is very militant about it so just using him as a propellor force.
