My latest book is The One Who Swam With The Fishes.

"A mesmerizing account of the well-known story of Matsyagandha ... and her transformation from fisherman’s daughter to Satyavati, Santanu’s royal consort and the Mother/Progenitor of the Kuru clan." - Hindustan Times

"Themes of fate, morality and power overlay a subtle and essential feminism to make this lyrical book a must-read. If this is Madhavan’s first book in the Girls from the Mahabharata series, there is much to look forward to in the months to come." - Open Magazine

"A gleeful dollop of Blytonian magic ... Reddy Madhavan is also able to tackle some fairly sensitive subjects such as identity, the love of and karmic ties with parents, adoption, the first sexual encounter, loneliness, and my favourite, feminist rage." - Scroll

Today in Photo

I suddenly have a bunch of new followers on this thing and I have no idea why (if you know please tell me) so errr, welcome and here is a nice picture of me from a walk I did yesterday. I've become so European that the moment the sun came out after a week of gloom I was like bring on the bralet! Let me feel the sun on my shoulders! Bought the top in Sarojini Nagar ages ago, used it once as a sari blouse but it's also great like this with my OMO skirt from Goa. Today seems slightly overcast again so in the nick of time for my tiny top. Can't imagine it ever being winter with these endless days and yet, much like Ned Stark, we all know it's coming. #minnaindeutschland #berlinstories #whatiworetoday
