My latest book is The One Who Swam With The Fishes.

"A mesmerizing account of the well-known story of Matsyagandha ... and her transformation from fisherman’s daughter to Satyavati, Santanu’s royal consort and the Mother/Progenitor of the Kuru clan." - Hindustan Times

"Themes of fate, morality and power overlay a subtle and essential feminism to make this lyrical book a must-read. If this is Madhavan’s first book in the Girls from the Mahabharata series, there is much to look forward to in the months to come." - Open Magazine

"A gleeful dollop of Blytonian magic ... Reddy Madhavan is also able to tackle some fairly sensitive subjects such as identity, the love of and karmic ties with parents, adoption, the first sexual encounter, loneliness, and my favourite, feminist rage." - Scroll

Social media and all that jazz

Here are my thoughts on Twitter vs Facebook vs blogging

1) Social media is necessary and important to get readers.

2) That being said, if you have your own website, you're basically giving away your content for free to these other places.

3) You can't beat Facebook or Twitter, don't even try.

4) You may be able to beat ello, though. (Poor ello.)

5) But you can keep your content for yourself and only update on other mediums when it suits you as opposed to them being your default.

  1. Agree on that. Internet is proving difficult to beat and join them to earn both recognition and flak:)
