My latest book is The One Who Swam With The Fishes.

"A mesmerizing account of the well-known story of Matsyagandha ... and her transformation from fisherman’s daughter to Satyavati, Santanu’s royal consort and the Mother/Progenitor of the Kuru clan." - Hindustan Times

"Themes of fate, morality and power overlay a subtle and essential feminism to make this lyrical book a must-read. If this is Madhavan’s first book in the Girls from the Mahabharata series, there is much to look forward to in the months to come." - Open Magazine

"A gleeful dollop of Blytonian magic ... Reddy Madhavan is also able to tackle some fairly sensitive subjects such as identity, the love of and karmic ties with parents, adoption, the first sexual encounter, loneliness, and my favourite, feminist rage." - Scroll

You may say I'm an alarmist, But I'm not the only one... Cough hasn't abated for six months. Anti histamines help, not smoking helps but I'm still breathing with the help of a pill which is kinda fucked up. I know some people who are all like, "Oh this pollution thing is just a new hot button issue" but honestly since I leave the city so much, I can tell you that I breathe better everywhere but home. My brand new mask arrived today. Kinda sexy in a criminally way, right? #delhidiary #selfie #pollution

  1. I've had an on-and-off cough for about a year (!) since I last got back from India. Probably should get a course of antibiotics but I've been resisting. And yeah, I blame pollution (in India and in Hong Kong). It may not be the cause of the cough but it makes recovery almost impossible.
