My latest book is The One Who Swam With The Fishes.

"A mesmerizing account of the well-known story of Matsyagandha ... and her transformation from fisherman’s daughter to Satyavati, Santanu’s royal consort and the Mother/Progenitor of the Kuru clan." - Hindustan Times

"Themes of fate, morality and power overlay a subtle and essential feminism to make this lyrical book a must-read. If this is Madhavan’s first book in the Girls from the Mahabharata series, there is much to look forward to in the months to come." - Open Magazine

"A gleeful dollop of Blytonian magic ... Reddy Madhavan is also able to tackle some fairly sensitive subjects such as identity, the love of and karmic ties with parents, adoption, the first sexual encounter, loneliness, and my favourite, feminist rage." - Scroll

Yes I know we're not going fucking anywhere but I just bought a new dress anyway. It gives me hope to wait for a nice occasion to wear it and it's so pretty I had to have it I just needed to spend my dwindling bank account on some fluff for a change. Bought off @ajiolife if you're curious, pretty reasonably priced, it's two layers, one transparent with a belt that sits on top of the cotton shift inside. Look at that amazing hemline! Many filters because I couldn't be bothered to put on make up just to wash it off again. So hey! A #whatiworetoday just to #takeitoff again! It brightened my day, that's for sure, something that fashion will always do. #coronavirusdiaries
